Why is knowledge important?

  • It allows us to know our spiritual path: how to find the ultimate meaning of our life? It inspires us to live, to love, and to grow over time.
  • The mind often asks questions and needs clarification to open up to new ideas. Knowledge allows us to set a clear goal and focus on the right things to overcome our limitations.
  • Knowledge allows us to experience devotion: it helps us deepen our connection to the Divine; Saints inspire us in their relationship with the Divine.
  • Knowledge transforms personal experience into wisdom.

With occasional contributions from Rishi Vrishaparvaananda

Rishi Vrishaparvaananda is a monk residing in the ashram of his spiritual Master, Paramahamsa Vishwananda. His primary role within the mission is centered on the study and transmission of scriptures as presented by Paramahamsa Vishwananda. He is thus an integral part of Bhakti Marga's knowledge team.

He first met Paramahamsa Vishwananda in Switzerland, his native country, in 2017. A year later, he decided to follow the path taught by Paramahamsa Vishwananda, having recognized in Him the one who held the key to life's deepest questions. He entered the monastic order in 2022 and received the blessing to become a Rishi – a special blessing related to teaching – in 2024, during Navarātrī.
